Available in sizes from 2 1/2"
to 12", Type M copper plumbing tubes are used in applications where
water conditions are suitable for low-pressure plumbing. This type of
tubes is also used in low-pressure steam and hot-water heating systems.
In 3/4" size, the bursting pressure of Type K tubes is 3,000 pounds
per square inch.
Type M tubes are relatively thin-walled and are generally suitable for
condensate and other drains. These tubes are not advised for uses in
pressure applications.
