What
is scaffolding & why it is used?
Scaffolding is a temporary modular system forming a platform supporting
people or material from below or suspended from above on which workers stand
while construction or repair work is done on large structures. It mostly
supports while performing tasks at heights. Construction jobs require
different kind of scaffolding to simplify the working procedure. It can
range from individual planks on the structural members to patent
scaffolding. Thick steel scaffold planks can hold heavy loads and resist
more movements.
Why steel scaffolding?
The scaffolding made of hot dipped galvanized steel offers long-term
corrosion resistance. The steel scaffoldings absorb moisture, it will not
split, splinter, swell, nor could be burnt. Due to all these positive
properties, it provides considerable life-cycle cost savings. The steel
scaffolding also weighs less than the traditional wood scaffold planks and
also is stiffer which reduces bounce and provides a more stable platform.
