Home Remedy To Clean Stainless Steel Sinks

Is
your stainless steel sink dull and sticky? The leftover oil on the utensil
makes the sink gummy. The sink needs to be cleaned regularly to keep it
clean. But keeping clean is not everything, you will want to retain the
natural shine of the stainless steel. For this we tend to rely on chemical
detergents however, in long run it only ends affecting the surface. It is
advisable to use natural home remedies to clean the
stainless sink and use chemical
cleaners only as and when required. The most practiced home remedies using
natural ingredients are cleaning with baking soda, vinegar and olive
oil. Here is the tip to make your sink shines naturally. First, open the tap
and let the water run for sometime to rinse. Remove all the utensils or any
other items from the sink and follow any of the methods given below.
First method :
Powder the surface of the
stainless
steel sink with baking soda. Using a dry wiper, gently rub the
surface. If required, add little water to make a paste of the powder. Scrub
until it is properly cleaned. If it does not clean easily, sprinkle some
more baking soda and scrub again. After it is been cleaned, spray vinegar
over the surface thoroughly. Now polish the surface with a wipe and see the
shine.
Second method:
Dampen a soft cloth with olive oil, rub the sink surface with the dampened
cloth. Wipe off the oil from the surface using a clean cloth dampen with
vinegar. If the oil residue does not go off, dampen another cloth with
vinegar and rub again until it shines.
The above tips are proven useful for many. It gives amazing result and also
easy to follow. Unlike chemical cleaner, there is no harm in following this
method everyday. Also the ingredients are easily available. These methods
are called 'green' method.
