About Pipe & Pipe ApplicationsLayman understands pipe no more than hollow tube, but the uses of pipes are wide so is its description. People have been using pipes made of different materials since a long time. Earlier wood pipes or clay tubes were used in order to move water from one location to another according to archaeological documents. But now pipe has evolved from the bamboo tube to steel pipes for transporting fluid and liquid to the desired location. The primary raw material in pipe production is steel. But other metals that may be present in the alloy such as aluminum, manganese, titanium, tungsten, and vanadium in order to produce pipes.
However, steel pipes mainly come with two types. welded and seamless steel pipe.

In both type of the pumps, first raw steel is molded into hollow fold. Then It is cast into a pipe by expanding the steel into a seamless tube or forcing the edges together and sealing them with a weld. Steel pipes have by and by evolved into the modern processes as we use today. Each year, tons and tons of steel pipe are manufactured. It is the most used product produced by the steel industry, because of its versatility.

Stainless steel pipes are applied in a various appliances and industries. Steel pips are basically used beneath the surface and under walls, and within commercial and industrial structures for transporting liquid and fuel and applied for shielding the naked wires. Other than that, they are employed in automobiles, refrigeration units, heating and plumbing systems, flagpoles, electrical industry, and water treatment.

Seamless pipe is composed of solid steel which is molded in the basic tube shape. This is then rolled to expand the steel until it gets the required wall thickness. These types of tubes were originally developed for the construction of bicycle frames and produce a lighter pipe with a thinner wall. As a result, the pipes are thinner and lighter, but capable enough to resist high pressures. Seamless pipes are relatively expensive but reliable without any defects like leak and burst. They are used for things such as fuel supply, electrical conduit and plumbing.
